No-exam life insurance
When you qualify for expedited underwriting: who gets approved, how the process goes, and what takes place if you don't qualify.
A lot of carriers now offer expedited underwriting: for applicants in certain ages and coverage limits, they use the application information, pharmacy records, driving history and other sources instead of a physical exam. Approvals can come very quickly, often within days. Each quote here tells you whether an exam is required, might be asked for, or is not needed for that product.
What it changes
Accelerated underwriting is still underwriting. Your answers are checked, and a policy issued on untrue information can be denied during the first two years. If the carrier finds something in its data that raises flags, it may ask for lab tests or an exam; you decide whether to proceed at that point.
Who tends to qualify
Usually those under 60 or so who want coverage up to what the insurance company's expedited limits allow, with no serious past health events and non-tobacco status for a year or longer. Some insurers accept current bloodwork from a doctor instead of a separate exam.
When an exam is necessary, expect a 20- to 30-minute session with a paramedical professional at your residence or work site in the Madera area at no cost. Better health outcomes frequently improve your rate category for qualified applicants, so needing an exam does not automatically hurt your rates.
